Character Concept
In 2023, I joined a Dungeons and Dragons (DnD) group with my friends. I took it upon myself to design my own character, who I named Sive, who is an Elf.
My initial issue was that I didn't want to be stuck with the classic Elf look, like in Lord of the Rings. So after being given free creative control, I explored different woodland creatures (as Sive was a forest Elf). I eventually landed on the barn owls. After analyzing barn owls, it turns out there are those out there with a darker color palette. I used that inspiration for Sive.

After creating my character Sive, I decided I will illustrate my friends' characters as well.
My problem, at first, was trying to visualize the characters in my style but have them match what the players imagined them to look like. After working with my friends, I finally made it there.
